Jewellery maker/designer and ICU nurse

My Photo
Montreal, Quebec, Canada
Hi everyone! Let me start by introducing myself. I am a wife, mother of 4 wonderful kids, ICU nurse and now jewelry designer/creator. I have always been crafty. I do oil paintings and even cake decorating. For the past couple of years I have developed a passion for jewelry designing and creating. My metal of choice is sterling silver but I also work with bronze and gold. I am quite new to this blogging thing. I hope that you will enjoy looking at my pieces as much as I enjoy making them. This beautiful tahitian perle is sitting nicely on a nice piece of oyster shell, again from a Bouctouche beach, and surrounded by a 14 kt gold piece yellow gold wire. The picture does not do it any justice.

This is a different twist on my serenity ring. The coral is placed at a different angle, giving the ring a softer look and I opted for a Tahitian perle. This ring is very nice with both casual and fancy evening wear!

I know, I know expensive. The entire oyster shell is made of silver. The Tahitian Perle is suspended on a 1mm 14 kt yellow gold wire. The oyster shell was collected by one of my daughters on a beach in Bouctouche New-Brunswick. This necklace looks amazing with a black dress or turtle neck.

This necklace is made out of sterling silver, the stone is an Agate and black ribbon. This necklace was made with Lady Gagga as my inspiration!

This necklace is made entirely of small freshwater perles, peridot and amber swarovsky crystals. This necklace is quite versatile. It can be worn for either formal or casual events.

This necklace is made entirely of clear rainbow swarovsky crystals. Can we say glamour and glitz!!!

I can't help but feel happy when I see this necklace. The colors are very pure and refreshing. The necklace is made of several different types of semi-precious stones such as aventurine, citrine, peridot, amber and mother of perle.

Puzzled

Puzzled
What can I say, I love puzzles. For this three level ring, I cut out three different sizes of the same piece, soldered the pieces together, added a blue topaz bezel and the rest is history!

This ring looks great on both men and women. I like the simplicity of it. It is made of sterling silver

While walking and collecting seashells on a long beautiful beach in Samana, Dominican Republic, the vision of this ring came to me. The body of the ring is made of a piece of dead coral that one of my daughters found on the beach. A casting of the coral was made in sterling silver . The perle is a cultured perle that I bought in Japan. So this ring has a mixture of Dominican and Japanese flare to it!!

I love this necklace. It is made of sterling silver and the kokopelies (also known as fertility gods) are hand sawed. People seem to really like this necklace.

This is one of my personal rings. I first carved it in wax, then by a process called lost wax, voilà, a sterling silver ring that I absolutely love came to life! It kind of looks like something from the Flinstones.

Show Time!!!

I am so excited to inform you that I will be participating in my first expo on November 17th.  It will be at the Second Cup on Nun's Island starting at 7pm.  The owner has graciously offered the coffee shop to a few local artisans so we can showcase our talent.  Hope to see you there.
